Skidaway Charters is the trade name of Reel Sound LLC ("we," "us"), a Georgia limited liability company operating private boat charters from Skidaway Island, Savannah, Georgia. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the terms that apply to text messages we send.
Information we collect
When you book a trip or contact us, we collect the information needed to run your charter: your name, phone number, email address, party size, trip date, payment information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers), and, for guests who are not residents of The Landings, the driver's name required for gate access.
How we use it
- To confirm, schedule, and operate your trip
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, weather updates, and trip-day logistics
- To process payments and refunds
- To respond to your questions
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS / text message terms
Program description. When you provide your mobile number during booking or by contacting us, you agree to receive transactional text messages from Skidaway Charters related to your trip: booking confirmations, payment receipts, reminders, weather or schedule changes, and day-of coordination (for example, dock location and departure time).
Message frequency varies by booking; typically 2–6 messages per trip.
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
Opt out. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. Note that opting out of texts may mean you miss time-sensitive trip updates; we will still contact you by phone or email as needed to operate your trip.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Sample message: "Skidaway Charters: Your trip is confirmed for Sat Sep 20 at 5:30 PM. We'll text dock details the morning of. Reply STOP to opt out."
Data retention
We keep booking records for as long as needed to operate the business and meet legal and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing captain@skidawaycharters.com.
